Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” shows no signs of stopping, staying a fifth week at number one on the Hot 100. B.o.B.’s “Nothin on You” featuring Bruno Mars sticks at number two, for the fourth consecutive week, followed by Train’s “Hey Soul Sister.”

Upward Movement- The stellar “If We Ever Meet Again” by Timbaland featuring Katy Perry flies 74-59 this week.

On Hot Dance Club Play, American Idol second-place finisher, Blake Lewis collects his first number one on a chart with “Heartbreak on Vinyl.”

Pop Songs- After four weeks on top, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé finally have ended their domination with “Telephone” at the hands of Jason Derulo’s “In My Head.” With this, Derulo becomes the first male to have his first two entries on Pop Songs go number one. You will remember former number-one “Whatcha Say” peaked in the penthouse position last year of both Pop Songs and the Hot 100. This week “In My Head” moves upward to number five on the Hot 100.
So here I leave you with Mr. Derulo’s “In My Head.” A boring chart week overall, yawn! Did I forget anything, let me know!

I predict a more exciting week next week, with the debut of the new single from a certain diva I love, Christina Aguilera’s “Not Myself Tonight!”

“Rude Boy” Refuses to Budge

It’s new Chart Thursday! Little movement in the top 10 of the Hot 100 though, the top 8 spots remain unchanged… Let’s take a closer look-

At the Top-
Hot 100- Rihanna stays on top for a fourth week with “Rude Boy,” while also gaining Airplay Honors for this week.
Pop Songs- Lady Gaga and Beyoncé stay the most played on Pop radio with “Telephone” clocking in at a fourth week on top. Rihanna plows full steam ahead with “Rude Boy” jumping 7-5, expect it to go top 3 next week.
Dance Club Play- Ono scores her seventh number one in total and fourth consecutive number one with “Give Me Something.”

Mover and Shaker- The theme song from Miley Cyrus’ film The Last Song, “When I Look at You” is the Hot 100 chart’s Digital Gainer, jumping 25-16. Still no radio play though…

Debut- The chart’s top debut comes from Usher featuring Will.i.am’s “OMG,” which blasts in at number 14, due to a performance on American Idol last week.

Special Note: Well chart readers, my hopes of having the first number one country song of this era is over, as I think Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” is on the serious decline. After stalling at number two for the past few weeks on the Hot 100 and Pop Songs, the dream is over.
Oh well, let me leave you with the biggest country crossover since Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” but tell me your opinion… Will Antebellum be on top next week, or possibly Train with “Hey Soul Sister” or even Rihanna with a fifth week at number one with Rude Boy… Only the charts and time will tell!

So y’all know that I’m obsessed with the Billboard Charts, and new charts come out every Thursday, so Imma discuss them with you now.

The Hot 100
This is the chart of all charts- all songs are ranked here, and receive points according to airplay, downloads, and an number of other factors.
At the Top
Rude Boy- Rihanna with a 3rd week at the top! Congrats Rihanna, as Rude Boy gains Airplay Honors for the sixth week in a row, jumping 2-1 on RADIO SONGS and reaches a new peak of 7 on POP SONGS.

Pop Songs
AKA, the ‘Mainstream Top 40,’ tracks hear are measured by total audience impressions on pop / CHR Top 40 stations, rather than total spins.
Telephone by Lady Gaga and Beyoncé remains at number one for the third week in a row.

Other Notes
Dance/Club Play Selena Gomez gets her first number one a chart with “Naturally.”
Digital Songs Train is number one with the not so fantastic “Hey Soul Sister”
Billboard 200 Albums The ‘Biebs” My World 2.0, but don’t worry, it’ll pass soon enough, Usher comes out with a new album next week.

As you chart reader muse over this week’s totals, I’ll leave you with the number one song of the week, Rihanna’s “Rude Boy.” But the question is, will it be number one next week?… Stay tuned and find out!

Lady Gaga & Beyoncé V. Black Eyed Peas

Ok, so this has really been bothering me. Let’s see if you agree. The Black Eyed Peas have put out some of their best work EVER on The E.N.D. four top 10s, including the recent number one, “Imma Be.” “Imma Be” spent two weeks at number 1 and the video to accompany it was pretty EPIC, and I don’t use that word lightly, or ever for that matter.

The two song mega-video, Imma Be Rocking that Body debuted to little fanfare in my opinion, strange though for such a spectacular video, with awesome special effects, clocking in at about 11 minutes long since it contains two songs. The first part “Imma Be” consists of the Peas trying to escape a desert and an evil robot, and find a good robot who takes them to a city. This transistions nicely to the “Rock that Body” portion of the video. It is seamless and flawless, a fine piece of electro-pop perfection.

So herein lies the problem.

When the “Telephone” video debuted everyone made such a big stink, it’s wonderful of course. But I think Imma Be Rocking that Body is simply flawless, and nothing controversial of what we’ve seen from the fabulous Gaga and Beyoncé, especially working in tandem.

Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating People of 2009

Tonight Barbara Walters released her annual list of the Most Fascinating People of the Year- Here’s the list in no particular order (though with 10 being the most fascinating) and my thoughts…
1. Sarah Palin- Gosh Darnit Sarah, do you really think the amazing Baba Wawa would want to go to your hellhole of a house and eat your moose chilli? I think not!
2. Brett Farve- who?
3. Lady Gaga- Ah, mi Gagita! La amo tanto! Congrats Gaga, you are the best!
4. Adam Lambert- Controversial, yes, Fascinating, no…
5. Kate Gosselin- the kids or Jon would have been better…
6. The Jackson children- Oh Blanket, who is your mother? They paid more attention to Michael then to them…
7. Glenn Beck- Don’t get me started : ‘ (
8. Jenny Sanford- Interesting, not fascinating: my thoughts: is she a Republican?
9. Tyler Perry- I thought everyone knew who he was!
10. Michelle Obama- Lookin’ good Miz First Lady! I wish Babs had focused on her smarts instead of her guns…

Now to my Most Fascinating!!! (A countdown of the fascinating, from the lesser, to the more)
10. Michael Jackson- I first got into his music catalog this year when he died. I’ll wait for a new Greatest Hits album.
9. Levi Johnston- This punk from Alaska made quite a name for himself, the porn? Way to make some money, ya’ foo! Honestly who wouldn’t idolize him? He knocked up some fat chick, and now he can take down ‘Sister Sarah!’
8. Mariah Carey- Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel was ~~amazing~~ pretty good, Mimi, you gotta work to make it 19!
7. Jon Gosselin- Livin’ La Vida Loca, eh Jon?! Bro ain’t gon’ be emmascualted anymore by that B* Kate, don’t take nothin’ from nobody!
6. Perez Hilton- I always said I never would read him, and now I have a blog just like him, shows how the times change, hmm?…
5. Joy Behar- Honestly, I wish I had started watching The View Before! Her show on HLN is great, you should watch it!
4. Beyonce- Honestly one of the best performers in the biz, ~~even if she doesn’t write her own songs~~ You are… Sasha Fierce! Not to mention virtually every single charted on the Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Songs chart!
3. Keith Olbermann- He’s really got a sharp tongue this one! His show Countdown is now my go-to place for the bashing of conservative Faux News, check him out!
2. Lady Gaga- I always knew you were going to be somebody! 4 number ones on the Pop Songs (formerly Mainstream Top 40 chart) from a debut album, a record!
1. Britney Spears- Is there any other? Multi-platium album, three top 20 singles, including one number one (3) The Circus Tour, need I say more? I love you! You are the best!
